My recipe I’m going to share with you for today is my Grandma Grace’s recipe for dumplings. I like to make these with chicken stew. They’re soooo yummy!
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
In a smaller bowl or large measuring cup, combine milk and egg.
I also added the parsley to the wet ingredients.
Add wet ingredients to dry and stir to make a lumpy dough.
Drop into boiling stew one tablespoon at a time.
Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Enjoy this yummy addition to your stew! (I’ll post a recipe for stew soon, I promise!)
